2027 Limited Edition Hatch Show Print Calendar

For the second year in a row, our limited-edition BIG calendar is chock full of design work by the ten designer-printers working in the shop every day. They divided up the year and followed their own muses to celebrate each month and the shop’s tools of wood and metal type and hand carved printing blocks. Many freshly-carved printing blocks were created, printmaking techniques employed, and lots and lots of ink spilled, and we hope you enjoy turning to each month as much as the staff enjoyed exploring the process of letterpress printing to complete the year!

It is a challenge to “design for yourself” as we do with these calendars. The set of months is a capsule of the work that is made at Hatch Show Print a quarter of the way through the twenty-first century. After 147 years of setting type and slinging ink for advertising, merchandise and more, using an outmoded technology, one might think that we’d done everything. Fortunately, the limitations of the physical process of letterpress printing only inspires the designers to come up with more inventive ways to get the ink on the paper.

Comes with holes punched - hang with nails, or opt for one of our solid cherry wood hangers.

If you have a wood hanger from a previous year, it's still compatible with this year's calendar.
