2026 Limited Edition Hatch Calendar

Our limited edition 2026 calendar encapsulates the work that is made at Hatch Show Print a quarter of the way through the twenty-first century. After 146 years of setting type and slinging ink for advertising, merchandise and more, using an outmoded technology, one might think that we’d done everything. Fortunately, the limitations of the physical process of letterpress printing only inspires the designers to come up with more inventive ways to get the ink on the paper.

The eleven designer-printers who work in the shop every day divided up the year, and followed their own muses to celebrate each month and the shop’s tools of wood and metal type and hand carved printing blocks. Many freshly-carved printing blocks were created, printmaking techniques employed, and lots and lots of ink spilled, and we hope you enjoy turning to each month as much as the staff enjoyed exploring the process of letterpress printing to complete the year!

You can purchase the calendar with a handy-dandy calendar hanger, also handmade here in Nashville, or you can use the hanger we sold with previous year’s calendars-either one will work. Or you can hang it however you wish -- all calendars come hole-punched for hanging--whether purchased with the hanger or without.
