Follow The Crowd Print
"Following the crowd" has never been as one-of-a-kind as with this unique poster featuring an early twentieth century typeface. Hand-cut without the use of an electric router, this print not only illustrates Will T. Hatch's saying of "carve it once and carve it well" but also showcases the adaptable designs of letterpress printing. This poster design acted as a template, and specific information for each particular event would be typeset in the center empty space, in this case the phrase “to Nashville, Tennessee.”
Completed with just two passes through the press, the clever use of negative space in the design is thus functional and fashionable for this historic reprint. Music City really is where everybody goes!
